CivAI contributes to the Design Tool for Programmatic Assessment

CivAI contributes to the Design Tool for Programmatic Assessment | CivAI News

Programmatic assessment requires carefully considered design choices. That is why an interactive design tool has now been developed to help educational programmes think step by step about how to implement programmatic assessment.

The tool guides users through 11 design choices, each with three possible options. For each choice, programmes are provided with practical considerations and experiences from other educational contexts. At the end, a visual overview is created with a summary that can be used directly in discussions within the team or the programme.

The design tool was developed in collaboration with Utrecht University of Applied Sciences, Vernieuwenderwijs, and the National Knowledge Institute for Development, and was made possible in part by the Arnhem and Nijmegen University of Applied Sciences and CivAI.

After the summer, CivAI will also host the tool sovereignly within the EU. In doing so, we ensure that this valuable educational application remains sustainably, securely, and independently available for programmes that wish to work with programmatic assessment.

For CivAI, this contribution fits seamlessly with our mission: to support education professionals in thoughtful, human-centred, and future-proof educational development. In this, technology is never the starting point, but a means to enable better conversations, stronger choices, and more shared ownership.
