MBO Mediawijs brings together twenty open educational resources on AI, and the pattern is familiar
MBO Mediawijs, the platform of the Practoraat Mediawijsheid & Citizenship, now features a themed page with twenty open educational resources on artificial intelligence. Lessons, discussion visuals and prompt exercises, all freely available for any MBO (secondary vocational education) teacher under a Creative Commons licence.
The topics are varied. How TikTok algorithms determine your feed. What AI ethics means in the context of work and study. How to construct an effective prompt, including for image generation. And an interactive discussion visual enabling teachers at the Wood and Furniture College to bring their colleagues up to speed on the basics.
What stands out about the approach
No separate AI subject, but AI interwoven into existing themes such as digital skills, teacher professionalisation and citizenship. Materials are aimed at MBO levels 3 and 4, with a clear indication of duration and a direct link to a lesson. Precisely the approach we already use at EduGPT.
The standalone module on prompt skills is a good example. Learning to prompt is not a trick you pick up once, but a skill that develops through practice and feedback. With EduGPT, this is built into the daily working environment of students and teachers, rather than being a separate course that fades after a few weeks.
