Our free AI e-learning is coming soon, the CivAI Academy launches in November | CivAI News

Our free e-learning on AI literacy is coming soon. In November, the CivAI Academy will open, starting with education.

No lengthy knowledge clips of more than six minutes. Each lesson begins with a clip of no more than three minutes, featuring theory and a short demo. You then immediately put it into practice. A lesson will take you ten to fifteen minutes.

You Keep Thinking

What sets the academy apart is the Critical Thinking Engine. You practise in EduGPT with an assistant who doesn’t give you the answer straight away, but first asks you questions in return. This way, you not only learn how AI works, but you also keep thinking for yourself. AI helps, you think.

This Is How a Lesson Works

  • Knowledge clip, a video of no more than three minutes with an explanation and a demo in EduGPT.

  • Assignment in EduGPT, you do it yourself, with the Critical Thinking Engine enabled.

  • Check questions, three to five short questions. You immediately see whether you got it right, and why.

  • Reflection, a standard question about how you felt working with AI.

In the welcome lesson, you take a baseline measurement with the AI Literacy Companion. For each component of AI literacy, you see where you stand and which route suits you. In the final lesson, you take the test again and see what you have learned.

Education First, in Two Routes

We are starting with EduGPT, with a separate route for primary and secondary education and for further education.

  • Primary and secondary education, for pupils from year 7 and in secondary education, and for their teachers and lecturers.

  • Further education, for students and lecturers in vocational education (MBO), universities of applied sciences (HBO), and research universities (WO).

Does your school not yet use EduGPT? The assignments can also be done in a regular AI tool. However, the Critical Thinking Engine is not included there, so it may not always work as well.

Then Government, Organisations, and Healthcare

After education, GovGPT, OrgGPT, and CareGPT will follow. There will also be a dedicated route for civil servants, employees of companies and social organisations, and healthcare professionals, with examples from their own work and assignments in the environment they will soon use in their jobs.

Free of Charge, No Account Needed

CivAI operates as a social enterprise. That’s why the academy is free of charge. You don’t need an account, and the site uses no cookies and no trackers.

The release will follow in November. Stay tuned!
